Calculate the cost of your vehicle

The costs of a vehicle include fixed costs and variable costs.

The fixed costs take the following into account: depreciation, lost interests on capital, taxes on motorised vehicles, automotive insurances, parking fees (parking lot), incidental expenses, etc. On average, these expenses represent 60% of the total.

Variable costs take the following into account: cost of fuel, depreciation, servicing and repairs, cost of tyres. On average, these expenses represent 60% of the total.

E.g. the cost per kilometre of a 22'000 CHF car that does 20'000 km per year is 0.50 CHF. For a car that was bought 35'000 CHF and that does 20'000 km per year, the cost per kilometre is 0.78 CHF.
